About Us ![]() Business and Professional Women Hernando County About Business & Professional Women Business and Professional Women/USA, founded in 1919, promotes equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information. With 25,000 members in more than 1600 Local Organizations represented in every congressional district in the country, BPW/USA includes among its members women and men of every age, race, religion, political party and socio-economic background. BPW Hernando was founded in 1978, and one of the first in Florida. Today, BPW Hernando has over 27 active members with more joining monthly. We are proud to say that 80% of our members have retained their membership on a yearly basis. Locally, we meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the conveniently located Atria Evergreen Woods Senior Living Facility, 7030 Evergreen Woods Trail. Meetings start at 5:30 with an informal networking reception. Dinner is served at 6:00 pm with an introduction and welcome by the president.
